I know this is tantamount to piling on but who reads TomatoNation? I don't get it. It's one of many blogs that simply befuddle me. I understand personal blogs, I understand topic-specific blog. I understand a lot of blogs in between but I simply don't get this one.

I went there because something random made me think of Wing & Sars and I thought, Hmm. I wonder what those bitches are doing for a living these days...

So I pop on TN and dear god is it dull. It's half-hearted movie reviews, tedious oddly impersonal observations about life, and an advice column. Day after day after day. I don't get asking her for advice about anything. I don't get caring what she thinks of movies, and I for sure don't get reading a blog that is neither personal nor specific in content.

Also? After linking the TWOP thread announcing her departure she never mentions it again. Or what she's up to. That's like pretending the most interesting thing about you simply doesn't exist.

The only vaguely provocative topic is asking her readers if they've ever broken up with someone because they weren't a regular reader of books--good books, not shitty ones!

Anyway, I just don't get it. At all.

Consider this the first in a series of "Blogs I Don't Understand"! Hee!

Also? Did she have a falling out with Glark that he wouldn't help her upgrade from the 1996 wordpress template? Seriously.

I used to visit TN back when I first started reading TWOP, and I remember some pretty interesting letters. But I just visited the link you posted and whazzuh? Advice on mildewy shower cutains?

The site doesn't even look the same, either. I remember it as way sleeker.

Wing Chun has a blog. The Fug Girls linked it. And visiting this thread made me check up on TN again, and it's still going. A much less attractive site, now, though.

Wing's seem to be mostly You Tube clips, movie reviews, and c&p im convos that she must think are hysterical.

Wow, Wing Chun's blog is pretty embarrassingly bad. I never found her particularly witty anyway, but that is just sad.

People read TomatoNation for some reason, but I don't get it.

I'm sure sitting back and fanning herself with money makes it feel better.

I get embarassed for the past every time I am watching Bravo (shaddap) and the TWoP bug pops up and says something about TV reviews "from a SNARKY point of view!" I'm not saying they shouldn't have sold out, but DAMN.
You all are, for the most part, grown women. With jobs. And kids. Probably not husbands, but whatever.

My solace is that they sold out too late to really, seriously cash in. You know they saw the (declining revenue) writing on the wall and bailed. It was smart but not savvy, if that makes sense.

MBTV peeps are littered all over the Internets and I'm always surprised when I end up on one's blog or Twitter though someone else by accident. The only one actually in my RSS is Sobell because she's local and I have always been drunk in love with her thorough linkage.

That said, the only thing more boring than WC's blog is her flickr. Zzzzz
